Jason “Jay Rob” Robinson is a New York City–based host, reporter, actor, and Emmy-nominated television news producer. He is the Host & Executive Producer of The Jay Rob Show and The Hot Zone, entertainment and lifestyle platforms across digital and YouTube. The Hot Zone was recognized with the 2022 Best of Manhattan Award in the Media & Entertainment category.
With over a decade of broadcast journalism experience, Jason worked as a producer at CNN, contributing to major national programs and collaborating with leading on-air talent.
He launched The Jay Rob Show in April 2022, beginning with actor and comedian Craig Robinson, and has since featured guests across entertainment, media, and culture, including Tisha Campbell, DeVon Franklin, and Chrissy Metz. The show delivers in-depth, long-form conversations with celebrities, entrepreneurs, and influential voices.
Earlier, Jason created, executive produced, and hosted The Hot Zone, a celebrity interview series featured across Fox digital platforms. The series included high-profile interviews with Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, LL Cool J, Kim Kardashian, and Tyler Perry.


Jason began his career at 17 while studying Radio/TV Broadcasting at SUNY Herkimer College, hosting his own radio show and later serving as sports announcer for the college basketball games, reaching over 36,000 homes. He earned a BFA in Communications with honors from Long Island University’s C.W. Post campus and further honed his craft at WABC-TV, Bloomberg L.P., King World Productions, WCBS-TV, and WBLS radio.
With over 20 years in television, online, and radio broadcasting, Jason brings extensive editorial and technical expertise to every project. While he thrives across media, interviewing celebrities and newsmakers is his passion. Known for asking insightful and challenging questions while maintaining professionalism and respect, Jason delivers interviews that provide audiences with unmatched perspective and access.
